Characterization of the 3' untranslated region of bovine parathyroid hormone gene in N'Dama and Boran cattle
We describe a polymorphism in the bovine gene PTHG which can be readily typed by PCR assay. The polymorphism is codominantly inherited and the allele frequencies appear characteristic of Bos indicus and B. taurus cattle.
