Factors affecting the expression of trypanotolerance are discussed. Some of the factors which could influence the feeding preference of tsetse are physical - skin thickness, skin rippling; visual - coat colour, size; olfactory - breath, urine, skin secretions; behaviour - tail flicking, head swings....
