description The Review Meeting for the Ogun State Farmers Information Management System (OGFIMS) project, funded by the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (OGSTEP) and supported by the World Bank, brought together the project implementation team and key stakeholders from the Ogun State Government and OGSTEP. The purpose of the meeting was to assess progress, strengthen collaboration, and work towards achieving the project's goals. presented, achievements in implementation were reviewed, and next steps for effective scaling and impact were defined. Additionally, the event served as a strategic retreat for the project team and the leadership of the Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, allowing them to reflect on how digital tools could be utilized to accelerate agricultural development, enhance program delivery, and maximize impact. The workshop also featured an Innovation Showcase, which highlighted cutting-edge technologies from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) being implemented in Nigeria and across Africa. These innovations aligned with various initiatives, including the Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT), Special Agricultural Processing Zones (SAPZ), and the Farm and Rural Support Program (FSRP). They covered areas such as improved variety promotion, strengthening seed systems, site-specific agronomy, soil fertility management, integrated pest management, value addition and processing technologies, as well as digital solutions for agricultural transformation. Overall, the workshop provided a valuable platform for the Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture, OGSTEP management, and IITA leadership to engage in high-level discussions. These conversations focused on leveraging scalable innovations, advancing digital agriculture, and utilizing OGFIMS to enhance productivity, increase income generation, promote agribusiness micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and further the digitalization of extension services in Ogun State.
