Sumario:The Info Note presents findings from ten East African agribusinesses piloting an AI-powered risk assessment tool developed by AICCRA and CGIAR. The tool integrates financial, climate, and behavioral data to produce investor-grade insights within hours, replacing months-long consultant-led analyses at less than five percent of the cost. Built on structured AI prompts and open datasets, it standardizes risk diagnostics across enterprises, improving comparability and decision-making. Results highlight how the system identifies liquidity constraints, climate vulnerabilities, and behavioral risks such as side-selling and managerial dependence. Its transparency, scalability, and reproducibility make it a transformative approach for investment readiness and climate-smart advisory. The study concludes that AI-enabled diagnostics can enhance policy alignment, investment efficiency, and resilience planning across Africa’s agrifood systems.
