description A successful five-day technical mission was conducted at the Agence Nationale de l’Aviation Civile et de la Météorologie (ANACIM) headquarters in Dakar, Senegal, from September 29 to October 1, 2025, under the Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA) program. The mission was led by Sidjesse Makokha from the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in close collaboration with ANACIM’s ICT and climate data teams. The primary objective of the mission was to transition the Senegal AgDataHub platform to ANACIM’s full ownership, ensuring its long-term sustainability and independent operation. This was achieved through a series of technical, operational, and capacity-building activities — including the migration of the AgDataHub platform to ANACIM’s servers, database installation and configuration, testing, and deployment of data ingestion processes. A key highlight of the mission was the knowledge transfer sessions jointly conducted between ILRI, ANACIM, and Unmiti, a team of technical consultants based in India who have been instrumental in the system’s development and maintenance. These sessions enhanced ANACIM’s technical capacity in server management, database configuration, application deployment, and troubleshooting. By the conclusion of the mission, the AgDataHub platform was fully operational on ANACIM’s infrastructure. The ANACIM technical team demonstrated proficiency in managing and maintaining the system independently, marking a major milestone toward national ownership of digital climate information services. This mission represents a significant step toward strengthening Senegal’s digital climate services ecosystem and ensuring that climate-smart agricultural advisories and data platforms remain locally owned, resilient, and sustainable
