description A four-day Annual forum 2025 organized by the Uganda Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Multistakeholder Platform (UG-CSA-MSP) was held in Uganda on 16th -19th September 2025. The event brought together 84 stakeholders implementing CSA initiatives (34 females, 50 males) from Government Ministries, Agencies and departments, International and national research institutes, UN agencies, farmer organizations, private companies, civil society organizations and universities who reflected on progress of implementation of CSA initiatives in the country, identified challenges to adoption of CSA technologies and innovations, and proposed strategies for scaling, monitoring and reporting on climate actions in the agricultural sector. Achievements of the UG-CSA-MSP since its establishment in 2023 were presented by the executive committee and they included finalizing the UGCSA MSP constitution (terms of reference), constituting members of the executive committee (ExCo), convening of annual CSA forums, routine ExCo meetings, workplan and mobilization of 100+ organizations to join the UG-CSA-MSP. By the end of the CSA Annual forum 2025, leaders of the four technical working groups were nominated, members signed up to thematic workings of their choice, dates for the first physical TWG meeting were agreed on, TORs for each TWG were drafted, agreement to have an online monitoring and reporting system was reached. Participants agreed to use the platform as a means of achieving Uganda’s Agriculture National Adaptation Plan (Ag-NAP) targets and the country’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
