description Community-based Breeding Programs (CBBP) incorporate capacity-building training to facilitate the effective implementation of the program. The training was organized to develop the skills and knowledge of staff teaching in Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ATEVT) colleges in the field of animal production, and it was conducted on 31 July 2025. The training sessions covered the principles, practices, and experiences of CBBP, including its past implementation in the context of universities, as well as its benefits in teaching and learning, community engagement, and research, to motivate ATEVT staff teaching courses in ATEVT programs. Additionally, the content of the Teachers' Training and Learning Manual (TTLM) and Occupational Standards (OS) was highlighted to ensure alignment with the curriculum. In this training program, 26 participants were drawn from 18 ATEVT colleges. The training concluded with the development of action plans focused on implementing the amended curriculum and initiating CBBP villages to enhance community engagement, research, and teaching and learning.
