Sumario:The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, through its forage breeding program in Kenya, is working to enhance the capacity of partner institutions in sub-Saharan Africa to conduct robust, efficient, and standardized forage trials. As part of this capacity-building effort, an online training session was conducted on 16th April 2025 for Zambia’s Seed Control and Certification Institute (SCCI), where a multi-local trial for evaluating the performance of forage grass cultivars was established in Zambia. The main aim of this project is to evaluate the adaptation and performance of forage grass cultivars and accessions supplied by the Alliance of Biodiversity International and CIAT in 6 contrasting environments with a view for variety release.
