description The urgency to address climate change impacts demands innovative approaches to governance to tackle the interconnected climate issues, which traditional governance frameworks often address in a fragmented manner. The development of "climate smart governance (CSG)” responds to the urgent need to integrate climate considerations into decision-making processes. This research report introduces a novel CSG dashboard designed with integrated capabilities to monitor, analyze, and visualize climate information across sectors and administrative levels. Leveraging advanced software architecture for greater user interaction, the dashboard features nine modules: country overviews, adaptation catalogs, climate outlooks, geo-intelligence, project trackers, monitoring and evaluation, and investment planning, nationally determined contribution tracker and development indicators. The suggested case applications demonstrate its versatility, supporting National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), enhancing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement, and facilitating multi-stakeholder collaborations for climate finance mobilization. The dashboard holds the potential to drive transformative adaptation by addressing systemic changes in response to climate impacts, providing comprehensive data on climate risks and vulnerabilities to identify transformative pathways. It supports real-time updates and scenario planning to inspire innovative approaches and foster multiscale collaboration in governance and policy frameworks. Recommendations include the need for data transparency, accessibility, interoperability, and security measures to ensure the dashboard's effectiveness and acceptance. Future directions include CSG's potential to be deeply integrated into national adaptation planning, assess adaptation effectiveness, support capacity building, conduct economic analyses of adaptation investments, and promote sectoral policy integration to enhance CSG strategies.
