Sumario:The Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA) project in Mali established a partnership with local universities (IPR/ISFRA of Katibougou, University of Segou, university of Bamako, Institute of DELTA C, University of Mande Boukary, Institut Superieur pour le Developpement Rural - ISDR) of to enhance the capacity of agricultural advisory providers and university students in climate-smart agriculture (CSA) and climate information services (CIS). This initiative focused on developing a curriculum tailored to agricultural extension agents and offering research opportunities for graduate students. Through collaborative workshops, stakeholder consultations, and co-supervision, the project achieved the development of the outline of a comprehensive CIS training curriculum and supported 21 Master’s. students in adaptation, validation and scaling mechanisms of CSA and CIS through their field research. The outcomes strengthened the capacity of national Universities to address climate-related challenges and integrate CSA and CIS into their training programs, contributing to improved resilience and food security in Mali.
