description This brief presents the findings of ICARDA's and its national partners' endeavors in Tunisia to expand the adoption of pelleting technology. It underscores the significance of public-private collaborations, financial incentives, and engagement with farmer organizations. Noteworthy achievements include the establishment of robust institutional ownership of the technology, a substantial increase in the number of users, and the valorization and potential reuse and recycling of by-products. This innovation is deemed to be socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable. Collaboration with CIAT is ongoing to extend this technology to Ethiopia and Kenya. Further awareness-raising through conferences and workshops has the potential to further improve opportunities for scaling up.
