IPMS in partnership with the district office of agriculture, Melkassa research center and other partners, introduced new varieties of these fruits, which are sweeter, fleshy, faster growing and more demanded in the market, by using grafting technique. Experience of farmers who manage own fruit nursery of the improved varieties and the positive impact that it brought on their livelihood is presented. |
