| Sumario: | This blog discusses the powerful role of direct farmer-to-farmer exchange in promoting agroecological innovation in the El Kef-Siliana transect of Tunisia. Since its launch in 2022, the Agroecology Initiative has partnered with six farmer organisations (FOs) to co-develop evidence-based agroecological technologies tailored to local agricultural contexts and interests. The blog highlights how these exchange visits facilitate networking among farmers, enabling them to share science-based knowledge in an accessible way that builds mutual understanding and trust. Farmers from participating FOs discussed jointly developed technologies, identified challenges and explored opportunities for collaboration. The interactions sparked new ideas and connections between farmers, strengthening their shared commitment to a sustainable agricultural future through innovative practices. Participants were inspired by successful technologies such as compost made from Aleppo pine and new forage mixtures that have significantly improved livestock productivity.
