Summary:Co-chair organizations of the Initiative for Food and Nutrition Security in Africa (IFNA), the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as well as the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the Eastern African Community (EAC), the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) jointly held the IFNA Virtual Regional Meeting on 12 August, 2020. The objectives of the meeting were to familiarize the Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and nonIFNA participating countries with IFNA, including approaches, achievements to date, and IFNA’s 3-year strategic direction; therefore, laying the foundation for future collaboration between IFNA, RECs, and their Member States in nutrition improvement initiatives. A total of 71 people participated in the meeting. The meeting program is attached as Appendix 1.
