description Climate change poses a major threat to the ambitious global commitments to ending hunger and all forms of malnutrition by 2030, set out in the Agenda for Sustainable Development. Climate change is projected to cause significant regional shifts in agricultural production, potentially reduce productivity, and increase the volatility of crop and livestock production. Reducing malnutrition and hunger in this context will require a concerted effort to help producers adapt to adverse climate outcomes, adopt climate-smart agricultural practices, and mitigate the substantial contribution of agriculture to climate change.
