In 2013, in undivided Andhra Pradesh (AP)—now AP and Telangana—monthly take-home rations (THR) consisting of ready-to-cook food were replaced with daily provision of hot, cooked meals (HCM) consisting of milk and eggs, amongst other foods, for pregnant women as a part of a supplementary nutrition program of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) in India.
