Its aim is to raise awareness and strengthen the capacity of young people, allowing them to contribute to agriculture and rural development through the use of ICTs. This booklet provides an overview and the results of the essay competition «Youth finding solutions to challenges in agriculture and rural development using ICTs! », one of the many ARDYIS activities. Entries submitted demonstrated that youth are more and more interested in the agricultural sector and supporting them will definitely have a strong impact in attracting more youth to rural areas. /
Le projet ARDYIS (Agriculture, développement rural et jeunesse dans la société d'information) est une des initiatives récentes du CTA, réalisée avec des partenaires ACP, pour améliorer l'accès des jeunes ruraux aux TIC. Son objectif est de sensibiliser les jeunes ruraux et de renforcer leurs capacités, leur permettant de contribuer au développement agricole et rural par l'usage des TIC. Ce manuel brosse un tableau général et donne les résultats d'un concours de rédaction sur le thème "La jeunesse trouvant des solutions aux défis de l'agriculture et du développement rural par l'usage des TIC", une des nombreuses activités d'ARDYIS. Les contributions montrent que les jeunes sont de plus en plus intéressés dans le secteur agricole. Leur appui aura certainement un impact fort et attirera davantage de jeunes dans les zones rurales. |
