  1. Robles in Lagunas de Epulauquen, Argentina: previous and recent evidence of their distinctive character por Azpilicueta, Maria Marta, Pastorino, Mario Juan, Puntieri, Javier Guido, Barbero, Fernando Alvaro, Martinez Meier, Alejandro, Marchelli, Paula, Gallo, Leonardo Ariel

    Publicado 2018
“…The northernmost ‘robles’ of Argentina, located in Lagunas de Epulauquen (northwest Patagonia), are considered a population of Nothofagus obliqua, even though they differ in some respects from individuals of other populations of the species. In order to analyse a possible genetic basis of their distinctive character, we revised previous information and added new evidence based on biochemical (isozyme) and molecular (chloroplast DNA and nuclear microsatellite) markers, as well as quantitative trait variation (seed traits, leaf morphology, plant architecture and field performance). …”

  2. Robust and efficient software for reference-free genomic diversity analysis of GBS data on diploid and polyploid species por Parra Salazar, Andrea, Gomez, Jorge, Lozano Arce, Daniela, Reyes Herrera, Paula H., Duitama, Jorge

    Publicado 2024
“…Genotype-by-sequencing (GBS) is a widely used cost-effective technique to obtain large numbers of genetic markers from populations. Although a standard reference-based pipeline can be followed to analyze these reads, a reference genome is still not available for a large number of species. …”

  3. Regeneration and Characterization of cultivated and wild cereal genetic resources at ICARDA por Tsivelikas, Athanasios, Kehel, Zakaria

    Publicado 2023
“…Seed regeneration is the process that leads to the generation of a new seed-lot for a given accession with the intention to increase its stored seeds in the collection (also called “multiplication”) or to increase the viability of its seeds equal to or above an agreed minimum level, which is referred to as the regeneration threshold. …”

    Publicado 2010
“…In conclusion, the use of new exotic germplasm in rice improvement can have a substantial impact on rice productivity, its resistance to several biotic and abiotic stresses, and its nutritional and agroindustrial quality. …”

  6. Mechanization outsourcing services in Myanmar's dry zone por Belton, Ben, Fang, Peixun, Reardon, Thomas

    Publicado 2020
“…Provision of 4WT outsourcing services is much more localized than CH outsourcing. New specialized economic actors and markets for services have emerged extremely quickly in response to opportunities created by the growth of agricultural machinery outsourcing in the areas of: (1) 3rd party transport services; (2) brokers organizing groups of clients; (3) skilled machine operators. …”

  7. Genetic analysis of tuber yield and quality traits in white yam (Dioscorea rotundata Poir) por Norman, P.E., Asfaw, A.A.

    Publicado 2019
“…Analysis for agronomic and quality traits on 49 advanced yam clones grown at multi-location trials using mixed model employing genomic relationship matrix identified genotypes TDr09/00135, TDr10/00412, TDr09/00052, TDr89/00983 and TDr11/00291 as potential parents for recycling in breeding and / or candidates for release as new varieties. The significant genotype by environment interactions for the key traits measured in advanced yam clones indicated the necessity of testing the genotypes in multiple environments for effective selection and recommendation for release. …”

  8. Assessing potential viral transmission between honeybees and hive-infesting ants using novel per-hive co-detection indices por Rivas Fontan, Ignacio, Gonzalez, Fernanda Noemi, Moja, Pablo Joaquín, Ferrufino, Cecilia Gabriela, Zanola, Daniel, Scally, Bruno, Calcaterra, Luis, Dus Santos, Maria Jose, Josens, Roxana Beatriz

    Publicado 2025
“…Our objective was to develop a new methodology using two indices, based on a per-hive approach, to identify ant-virus combinations with high transmission potential (Matching Index) and to assess the relative risk posed to honeybees (Risk-to-Bee Index). …”
