  1. The phytosanitary situation of cypress in Spain and the new prospect por Tuset, Juan J.

    Publicado 2023
“…The small areas of expansion of the cypress together with the common low environmental moisture clearly condition the pathological problems, generally limiting their importance (TUSET, 1979). …”

  2. Phenotypic and Gene Expression Analysis of Fruit Development of ‘Rojo Brillante’ and ‘Fuyu’ Persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) Cultivars in Two Different Locations por Dorta, Tania, Onoue, Noriyuki, Hsiang, Tzu-Fan, Nishiyama, Soichiro, Ríos, Gabino, Tao, Ryutaro, Blasco, Manuel

    Publicado 2024
“…We have grown two persimmon accessions (‘Rojo Brillante’ and ‘Fuyu’) under contrasting meteorological conditions of two locations in Spain and Japan. Fruit size, colour change, and firmness parameters were followed during fruit development from 30 days after fruit set until commercial ripening, and the expression of genes related to ethylene production and signalling, gibberellin response, carotenoid biosynthesis, cell wall dynamics, and oxidative stress were reported. …”

  3. Fungal pathogens causing postharvest decay of pomegranate fruit in Spain por Palou, Lluís, Vicent, Antonio

    Publicado 2018
“…Research work has been conducted and is still in progress to identify and characterize fungal pathogens causing fruit postharvest disease in local environmental conditions. ‘Mollar de Elche’ pomegranates from different orchards were used in different seasons to assess both latent and wound fungal pathogens causing decay after harvest. …”

  4. Assessment of Fungal Pathogens Causing Postharvest Decay of Pomegranate in Southeast Spain por Palou, Lluís, Del-Río, Miguel A.

    Publicado 2017
“…Work is in progress in our laboratory to determine the incidence and etiology of postharvest diseases in our local environmental conditions. Commercially-grown pomegranates cv. 'Mollar de Elche' from two different orchards were used in a first-season study to assess both wound pathogens (postharvest infections) and latent pathogens (field infections). …”

    Publicado 2020
“…The plant-pathogenic bacterium Xylella fastidiosa was first reported in Europe in 2013, in the province of Lecce, Italy, where extensive areas were affected by the olive quick decline syndrome, caused by the subsp. pauca. In Alicante, Spain, almond leaf scorch, caused by X. fastidiosa subsp. multiplex, was detected in 2017. …”

  9. Parasitism of Aganaspis daci against Ceratitis capitata under Mediterranean climate conditions por De-Pedro, Luis, Beitia, Francisco J., Sabater-Munoz, Beatriz, Harbi, Ahlem, Ferrara, Fernando, Polidori, Carlo, Asís, Josep D., Tormos, José

    Publicado 2018
“…The larval-pupal parasitoid wasp Aganaspis daci (Weld) (Hymenoptera: Figitidae) is known to have a very low fertility (i.e., off-spring production) in the field in certain Mediterranean areas, probably due to its inability to efficiently oviposit under such climatic conditions. In this study, the percentage of parasitism and induced mortality (mortality of host pupae attributed to parasitoids, from which adults do not emerge) caused by this wasp to the Mediterranean fruit fly (medfly), Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) (Diptera: Tephritidae), was assessed under field conditions across 1 year, using medfly-infested apples and parasitoid-confined release in a lemon orchard of southeastern Spain. …”
