  2. Bacillus thuringiensis and their endophytic capabilities por Sauka, Diego Hernan

    Publicado 2017
“…The main characteristic of Bacillus thuringiensis is that during sporulation produces a parasporal inclusion formed by one or more proteinaceous bodies that exhibit insecticidal activity upon ingestion by susceptible larvae of different orders of insects. …”

  4. Argentinean Bacillus thuringiensis strains exhibiting distinct morphology of their parasporal crystals por Peralta, Cecilia, Sauka, Diego Herman, Marozzi, Antonela Alejandra, del Valle, Eleodoro Eduardo, Palma, Leopoldo

    Publicado 2022
“…Bacillus thuringiensis is a Gram-positive and sporulated bacterium exhibiting insecticidal activity against a wide range of insects.3 During sporulation, this bacterium produces a number of different proteins forming crystalline inclusions adjacent to the spores (parasporal crystals). …”

  5. Effects of X-ray irradiation and sodium carbonate treatments on postharvest Penicillium decay and quality attributes of clementine mandarins por Palou, Lluís, Marcilla, Alicia, Rojas-Argudo, Cristina, Alonso-Valiente, Miquel, Jaques, Josep A., Del-Río, Miguel A.

    Publicado 2017
“…Therefore, the combined treatments could not be a substitute for conventional chemical fungicides. However, pathogen sporulation was greatly inhibited on infected clementines, thus X-irradiation could be of value for management of Penicillium resistant strains and to reduce inoculum levels in citrus packinghouses. …”

  6. Positive selection analysis of Cyt proteins from Bacillus thuringiensis: a conservative trend driven by negative (purifying) selection por Palma, Leopoldo, Sauka, Diego Herman, Berry, Colin, Peralta, Cecilia

    Publicado 2024
“…Bacillus thuringiensis is a Gram-positive entomopathogenic bacterium that produces different pesticidal proteins: vegetative insecticidal proteins (Vpb1/Vpa2, Vip3, and Vpb4) during vegetative growth, which are secreted to the culture medium, and δ–endotoxins (Cry and Cyt) during sporulation, which accumulate into parasporal crystals. …”

    Publicado 2021
“…Phosphate-solubilizing strain INTA 293-1 from a soil sample of Corrientes province (Argentina) was identified as Bacillus thuringiensis based on its faculty to produce crystalline inclusions during sporulation and 16S rDNA sequence similarity. INTA 293-1 was found to produce bipyramidal and cuboidal crystals, containing major proteins of ca. 130 and 65 kDa respectively, resembling those present in Lepidoptera- and Diptera-active strains. …”

    Publicado 2020
“…Storage at low temperature (5ºC) under an ozonated atmosphere (0.3 or 1.0 ppm ozone) does not reduce green and blue mold incidence on oranges and lemons but does delay disease development and prevent sporulation of the pathogens. The strain CPA-2 of the bacterium Pantoea agglomerans is an effective antagonist for the biological control of postharvest green and blue molds on oranges and clementines. …”
