ROS-Scavenging Enzymes as an Antioxidant Response to High Concentration of Anthracene in the Liverwort Marchantia polymorpha L.
Publicado 2023“…However, we found an increase in the activity of main ROS-detoxifying enzymes of 34.09% of peroxidase and 692% of ascorbate peroxidase, supported at transcriptional level with the upregulation of ROS-related detoxifying responses. Finally, we found that M. polymorpha tolerated anthracene-stress under the lowest concentration used and can suffer physiological alterations under higher concentrations tested related to the accumulation of anthracene within plant tissues. …”

P26 enhances baculovirus gene delivery by modulating the mammalian antiviral response
Publicado 2023“…Besides, we proved P26 functionality in a stable-transformed cell line where the protein was constitutively expressed, preventing the production of IFN-β induced by baculovirus and resulting in an improvement in the transduction efficiency by the attenuation of the antiviral activity. Finally, we incorporated P26 into budded virions by capsid display or passive incorporation, and the results showed that both strategies resulted in an improvement of 3–17 times in the efficiency of transgene expression in murine fibroblasts. …”

TLR9 activation is required for cytotoxic response elicited by baculovirus capsid display
Publicado 2023“…Importantly, we demonstrated with this strategy that the induction of cytotoxic T cells and IL-12 production by DCs are TLR9-dependent and STING-independent. Finally, our study shows differential intracellular processing for capsid and surface baculovirus proteins in DCs and highlights the role of different danger receptors during cytotoxic T cell priming through the capsid display delivery system, which could lead to improved baculovirus-based vaccines development.…”

Efficient CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in alfalfa using a public germplasm
Publicado 2024“…Using the CRISPR/Cas9 system and two sgRNAs, we have also edited the alfalfa gene NOD26, generating plants with different doses of alleles at this locus, including complete gene knockout at high efficiency (11%). Finally, we discuss the potential applications of genome-editing technologies to polyploid research and to alfalfa improvement public programs.…”

Genome editing of soybean inoculant using CRISPR/Cas9 system: enhancing agricultural sustainability
Publicado 2024“…Using the CRISPR/Cas9 system and three sgRNAs, we have edited the genes 16S, napA and glxA from strains E109 and SEMIA5079, generating mutants with streptomycin tolerance, reduced nitrate reductase activity, and increased catalase activity, respectively. Finally, we discuss how the CRISPR/Cas9 system can contribute to bridging the gap between crop and inoculant improvement, and its possible role in producing a new generation of climate-smart inoculants.…”

Genomic and physiological plasticity in natural variants of commercial soybean inoculants supports the non-GMO status of base-edited inoculants
Publicado 2025“…In vitro and in planta assays confirmed that these natural mutations impact key traits, including oxidative stress resistance, root attachment, cell survival, and nitrogen fixation efficiency. These findings provide a scientific basis for regulatory decisions by demonstrating that genomic variability within commercial inoculants is a natural process and support the classification of base-edited inoculants as equivalent to non-genetically modified organisms (non-GMOs).…”

Soil organic carbon and total nitrogen in a Leucaena leucocephala silvopastoral system in the Chaco region, Argentina
Publicado 2025“…These increases in OC and TN with leucaena can be associated to root biomass allocation deeper into the soil profile, increased N inputs from leaf deposition, animal manure and urine, and nodule N-fixation. Despite the rise in TN in the surface soil, OC decreased in this layer, which is linked to the low grass cover, a result of high grazing pressure aimed at controlling leucaena hedgerow height. …”
