Population dynamics of the cattle tick Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus in a subtropical subhumid region of Argentina for use in the design of control strategies
Publicado 2017“…The non-parasitic phase of R. microplus was characterized by a long total non-parasitic period observed after exposures of females from mid-summer to early autumn, a short total non-parasitic period observed after exposures of females from late winter to late spring, a short period of larval longevity in early and mid-summer, and no hatch of the eggs produced by females exposed in mid- and late autumn and winter. …”

Food and Host Searching Decisions Made by Ibalia leucospoides (Hymenoptera: Ibaliidae), a Parasitoid of Sirex noctilio (Hymenoptera:Siricidae)
Publicado 2018“…Feeding on sugar-rich products or else on host fluids (i.e. host-feeding) may imply benefits in terms of future fitness, by for instance increasing egg laying opportunities through increased egg production or longevity (Chapman 1998; Speight et al. 1999). …”

Development of Glycaspis brimblecombei Moore (Hemiptera: Aphalaridae) on Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. and Eucalyptus dunnii Maiden
Publicado 2017“…We also identifed the meteorological variables associated with changes in the red gum lerp psyllid abundance. 3 The abundance of eggs, nymphs and adults stages of G. brimblecombei was signifcantly greater on E. camaldulensis than on E. dunnii in the 2 years of the survey. 4 Glycaspis brimblecombei development was complete on E. camaldulensis where all instars were present, even in the unfavourable seasons. …”

A new model formulation for host depletion in parasitoids
Publicado 2023“…We studied the behaviour of these models to understand how a variation of their parameters led to different shapes of functional response curves and statistical distributions of the number of parasitoid eggs laid per host. The results showed that the expected curves differ from those predicted by the simpler Holling's disk equation (type II functional response), random parasitoid models (no depletion), and the random predator model (proportional depletion). …”
