  1. Agricultural mechanisation and child labour in developing countries por Vos, Rob, Takeshima, Hiroyuki

    Publicado 2021
“…Second, while the prevalence of child labour in agriculture (i.e., when productive engagement is detrimental to schooling and child growth) is much lower (at 10% or less in seven countries), they are still sizable in absolute terms; at least 6 million children in these countries partake in agricultural work at the expense of opportunities in adulthood. Third, agricultural mechanization, reflected in farm household’s use of machinery such as tractors, significantly reduces the likelihood of use of children’s labour and increases school attendance. …”

  4. The association between animal source foods and stunting in children aged 6 months to 5 years: A systematic review por Shapiro, Myra Joy, Downs, Shauna, Quelhas, Diana, Kreis, Katharine, Kraemer, Klaus, Fanzo, Jessica

    Publicado 2017
“…Stunting is a measure of failure to reach linear growth potential and can be used as an indicator of reductions in neurodevelopment and cognitive function, elevated risk of morbidity and mortality in childhood and chronic disease in adulthood. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the consumption of animal source foods (ASF) and stunting in low- and middle-income countries. …”

  7. Grb10 and developmental programming: evaluation of a maternal diet restriction model during gestation por Bergman, Daniel

    Publicado 2015
“…This set-up also allowed to record any hitherto unknown effects of Grb10 on growth induced by metabolic and endocrinological changes in adulthood such as pregnancy. An early indication of the dietary restriction effects on the offspring was also provided by weighing 60 pups at embryonic day 18.5 (e.g. one day before birth). …”
