  1. Disentangling the water, food and energy nexus in agriculture: a policy option for India [Abstract only] por Amarasinghe, Upali A.

    Publicado 2014
“…The environment will benefit by reduced groundwater depletion, which contributes to the drying of wetlands and streams, and water quality issues, at present. It is an incentive for farmers to increase efficiency of groundwater use and diversify cropping patterns to high-value low water-intensive crops. …”

  2. Riparian buffer strips influence nitrogen losses as nitrous oxide and leached N from upslope permanent pasture por Dlamini, J.C., Cardenas, L.M., Tesfamarian, E.H., Dunn, R.M., Loick, N., Charteris, A.F., Cocciaglia, L., Vangeli, Sebastián, Blackwell, M.S.A., Upadhayay, H.R., Hawkins, J.M.B., Evans, J., Collins, A.L.

    Publicado 2022
    “…Our results also showed that the grass riparian buffer strip is a sink of N2O equivalent to − 2310.2 g N2O-N ha− 1 day− 1 (95% confidence interval:− 535.5 to 492). Event-based water quality results obtained during storms (12 November 2018 and 11 February 2019) showed that the willow riparian buffer treatment had the highest flow-weighted mean N concentrations (N-FWMC) of 0.041 ± 0.022 and 0.031 ± 0.015 mg N L− 1, when compared to the other treatments. …”

Environmental quality and ecotoxicity of sediments from the lower Salado River basin (Santa Fe, Argentina) on amphibian larvae por Peluso, Julieta, Aronzon, Carolina, Martínez Chehda, Agostina, Cuzziol Boccioni, Ana Paula, Peltzer, Paola, De Geronimo, Eduardo, Aparicio, Virginia Carolina, González, Florencia, Valenzuela, Lautaro, Lajmanovich, Rafael

    Publicado 2023
“…Biomarkers of oxidative stress, neurotoxicity and genotoxicity were analyzed in R. arenarum larvae (GS. 25) after exposure (96h) to the complex matrix of water and sediment. The water quality index showed a marginal quality for all sites, influenced mainly by low dissolved oxygen, high total suspended solid, phosphate, nitrite, conductivity, Pb, Cr and Cu levels. …”
