  2. We don’t know what we don’t measure: A systematic review of post-harvest fish processing technology impact on social justice por Thakur, Sudarshan

    Publicado 2023
“…While the Blue Economy approach has focused on sustainability of ocean ecosystems and associated economic activities, there appears to be little attention on the postharvest sector and almost none on the equity and equality impacts on postharvest actors. As such, this systematic review focuses on the equity and equality outcomes of postharvest fish-processing technologies. …”

  3. What is culturally appropriate food consumption? A systematic literature review exploring six conceptual themes and their implications for sustainable food system transformation por House, Jonas, Brons, Anke, Wertheim-Heck, Sigrid, van der Horst, Hilje

    Publicado 2024
“…Often these terms go undefined, and where definitions are present, they vary widely. Based on a systematic literature review this paper explores how cultural appropriateness of food consumption is conceptualised across different research literatures, identifying six main themes in how cultural appropriateness is understood and applied. …”

  4. Paddy rice yield and greenhouse gas emissions: Any trade-off due to co-application of biochar and nitrogen fertilizer? A systematic review por Iboko, M.P., Dossou-Yovo, Elliott Ronald, Obalum, S.E., Oraegbunam, C.J., Diedhiou, S., Brümmer, C.C., Teme, N.G.

    Publicado 2023
“…However, this strategy may increase nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions, hence its interactive effects on GHG emissions, global warming potential (GWP) and GHG intensity (GHGI) remained poorly understood. We conducted a systematic review to i) evaluate the overall effects of combined application of biochar and N fertilizer rates on GHGs emissions, GWP, rice yield, and GHGI, ii) determine the quantities of biochar and N-fertilizer application that increase rice yield and reduce GHGs emissions and GHGI, and iii) examine the effects of biochar and different types of nitrogen fertilizers on rice yield, GHGs, GWP, and GHGI using data from 45 research articles and 183 paired observations. …”

  8. The impact of land use and cover change on above and below-ground carbon stocks of the miombo woodlands since the 1950s: a systematic review protocol por Syampungani, S., Clendenning, J., Gumbo, D.J., Nasi, Robert, Moombe, K.B, Chirwa, P., Ribeiro, N, Grundy, I., Matakala, N, Martius, C., Kaliwile, M, Kabwe, G, Petrokofsky, G.

    Publicado 2014
“…Although these ecosystems support a lower biomass per unit area, they are more widespread than humid forests. This proposed systematic review examines miombo woodlands, which are the most extensive vegetation formation in Africa and support over 100 million people. …”

    Publicado 2021
“…Many studies have looked at the effects of “pulses” on different health issues, providing general overviews of the importance of each pulse in health studies. This study systematically reviews and provides meta-analyses of the effect of bean extract as a supplement or whole bean on four health issues (cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, obesity, and cancers) from a dissection of clinical and randomized controlled trials using human subjects. …”
