TuMV triggers stomatal closure but reduces drought tolerance in Arabidopsis
Published 2025“…Notwithstanding lower relative water loss during infection, plants simultaneously subjected to drought and viral stresses showed higher mortality rates than mock-inoculated drought stressed controls, alongside downregulation of drought-responsive gene RD29A. …”

Relationship between microbial functions and community structure following agricultural intensification in South American Chaco
Published 2018“…In general, the results showed that RUA and M24 had lower enzyme activities, less microbial abundance and low physical and chemical soil quality than those subjected to crop rotation. In contrast, both the bacterial and total microbial biomasses were significantly higher in NV and crop rotation than in soils under monoculture systems. …”

Drought stress tolerance of Prosopis chilensis and Prosopis flexuosa species and their hybrids
Published 2018“…We studied mechanisms implicated in drought stress tolerance in seedlings of P. chilensis, P. flexuosa and their interspecific hybrids trying to elucidate if hybrids have a morpho-physiological, growth and survival intermediate response to drought compared to differential parental responses or if they out-perform both parental species when subjected to drought. Our results suggest that hybridization does not result in individuals with intermediate mechanisms related to drought resistance, but with a unique trait combination leading to high growth when water availability is high (similar to the most vulnerable parental species) and high survival under drought stress (similar to the more resistant parental species). …”

Onset of deep drainage and salt mobilization following forest clearing and cultivation in the Chaco plains (Argentina)
Published 2019“…Soils with higher water and lower chloride content are evidence of deep percolation and salt leaching. In Salta, stands subject to 30 years of rain‐fed cultivation had profiles with 30–46% higher moisture content and 94% lower chloride stocks compared to dry forest (0.05 ± 0.04 kg/m2 versus 0.77 ± 0.4 kg/m2). …”

Genetic variability for leaf growth rate and duration under water deficit in sunflower: analysis of responses at cell, organ, and plant level
Published 2019“…The genetic variability of the response of leaf growth to water deficit was assessed among 18 sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) inbred lines representing a broad range of genetic diversity. Plants were subjected to long-term, constant-level, water-deficit treatments, and the response to water deficit quantified by means of growth models at cell-, leaf-, and plant-scale. …”

Stress response at different ages of weaning in cattle
Published 2020“…As to the antibody response to vaccination, early weaning animals did not show a satisfactory response as was observed in calves subjected to conventional weaning. In conclusion, leukocyte subsets, plasmatic proteins, cortisol levels, and immune status were altered after weaning challenge in both studied age groups of calves. …”
