  1. Morpho-physiological analysis of adaptive responses of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) to drought stress. Thesis (Ph.D.) por Polanía Perdomo, José A.

    Publicado 2016
“…Resistance to terminal drought stress was positively associated with EUW combined with a deeper and vigorous root system, better plant growth, and superior mobilization of photosynthates to pod and seed production, but negatively associated with days to flowering and days to physiological maturity. Based on phenotypic differences in CID, leaf stomatal conductance, canopy biomass and grain yield under drought stress, the tested lines were classified into two groups, water savers and water spenders. …”

  3. Kernel weight in maize: genetic control of its physiological and compositional determinants in a dent × flint-caribbean RIL population por Mandolino, Cecilia Ines, D´Andrea, Karina Elizabeth, Piedra, Carlina V., Alvarez Prado, Santiago, Olmos, Sofía Eugenia, Cirilo, Alfredo Gabriel, Otegui, María Elena

    Publicado 2023
“…The genetic control of maize kernel weight (KW) determination could be studied through its physiological and/ or compositional determinants. Our objective was to dissect the genetic control of maize KW by analyzing its physiological (KGR: kernel growth rate; KFD: kernel filling duration) and compositional (protein, oil, starch) determinants in a dent×flint Caribbean RIL population, which combines a broad genetic background with grains of high added value for industry. …”

    Publicado 2020
“…Measurements comprised (i) soil water content and iPAR during the whole growing season, (ii) shoot biomass around silking and (iii) grain yield and shoot biomass at physiological maturity. Crop ET was calculated by means of water balance and soil evaporation was measured with micro-lysimeters. …”
