Amblyomma cajennense (Fabricius, 1787) (Acari: Ixodidae), the Cayenne tick: phylogeography and evidence for allopatric speciation por Beati, Lorenza, Nava, Santiago, Burkman, Erica J., Barros Battesti, Darci M., Labruna, Marcelo B., Guglielmone, Alberto, Cáceres, Abraham G., Guzman Cornejo, Carmen M., Léon, Renato, Durden, Lance A., Faccini, João L.H.

    Publicado 2018
“…Because A. cajennense is characterized by a typical trans-Amazonian distribution, lineage divergence dating is also performed to establish whether genetic diversity can be linked to dated vicariant events which shaped the topology of the Neotropics. …”

  2. Agricultural loess soils along a climosequence evidenced different susceptibility to acidification by simulated N-fertilization por Iturri, Laura Antonela, Buschiazzo, Daniel Eduardo

    Publicado 2019
“…Because of that, simulations to estimate the future acidification trends under continuing N-fertilization, considering the different neutralization capacities of the soils in this region, were performed. An equivalent number of protons to that produced by a constant application of 180 kg urea ha−1 year−1 (84 kg N ha−1 year−1) during 1, 10, 30 and 50 years of fertilization, was added to unfertilized topsoil samples of agricultural Haplustolls, Hapludolls and Argiudolls. …”

  3. Decomposition from legume and non-legume crop residues: effects on soil organic carbon fractions under controlled conditions por De Sa Pereira, Eduardo, Duval, Matias Ezequiel, Galantini, Juan Alberto

    Publicado 2019
“…Cover crop (CC) residues protect the soil from erosion and their permanence on the surface is largely influenced by their biochemical constituents. We performed a study under controlled conditions to investigate the dynamics of legume and non-legume CC residues decomposition and the transformations of the soil labile organic carbon fractions in the surface layer (0-15 cm). …”

  5. Phytoextraction and Cd Allocation to the Stem of Woody Species Used in Cacao Agroforestry por L. Carvalho, Fabricio E., Montenegro, Andrea C., Escobar Pachajoa, Laura D., Rojas Molina, Jairo, Camacho Diaz, Jorge E., Rengifo Estrada, Gersain A.

    Publicado 2025
“…Overall, C. pyriformis demonstrated significant potential for use in phytoremediation due to its high Cd tolerance (84%), efficient allocation to stems (17%), and sustained physiological performance under Cd exposure. Conversely, C. odorata allocates Cd to leaves (16%), which can reintroduce Cd into the soil, and exhibits a low tolerance index (54%) under higher cadmium contamination. …”

The experience values of the successful school forest were very divers, which also supports the idea that there is no specific environment type that is the optimal one, but the environmental variation per se is rather much more important. …”
