Effect of seminal plasma on hipoosmotic swelling test in fresh alpaca spermatozoa
Publicado 2022“…A count of at least 200 spermatozoa was performed per sample, using an optical microscope with immersion objective (100X), the vitality was evaluated by supravital eosin staining (0.7%)-nigrosin(1%), the results indicate that it does not exist a detrimental effect of the seminal plasma on the endosmotic response, being, on the contrary, superior in the whole semen; the vitality of the spermatozoa with and without seminal plasma is similar, however it decreases when it is reconstituted with seminal plasma, possibly due to the seminal plasma of another animal; there is no positive correlation between endosmosis and vitality, indicating that the latter would not necessarily reflect the integrity of the membrane, which is why it is recommended to perform this test routinely in alpaca semen exams.…”

Automatization and evaluation of a remote sensing-based indicator for wetland health assessment in East Africa on national and local scales
Publicado 2023“…The Wetland Use Intensity (WUI) indicator, which is not specific to a particular crop and which requires little ancillary data, is based on the Mean Absolute Spectral Dynamics (MASD), which is a cumulative measure of reflectance change across a time series of optical satellite images. It is sensitive to the compound effects of land cover changes caused by different agricultural practices, flooding or burning. …”

Assessing the accuracy of multi-model approaches for downscaling land surface temperature across diverse agroclimatic zones
Publicado 2025“…In the current article, we compared three different models, namely 1) Thermal Sharpening (TsHARP), 2) Thin Plate Spline (TPS), and 3) Random Forest (RF) for downscaling LST from 100 to 10 m by using high-resolution Sentinel-1,2 optical-microwave data. TsHARP, TPS, and RF are commonly used methods for improving the spatial resolution of large-scale environmental or climate data to finer scales for field-level applications. …”
