Defoliation frequency affects morphophysiological traits in the bunchgrass Poa ligularis = La frecuencia de defoliación afecta las carcacterísticas morfofisiológicas en la gramínea...
Publicado 2024“…These results suggest that TNC availability in crown and roots, and plant vigor on P. ligularis in dry Patagonia are favored by light to moderate defoliation frequencies (no more than two or three defoliations annually) immediately before internode elongation to 5 cm stubble height each.…”

Maize drought protection by Azospirillum argentinense Az19 requires bacterial trehalose accumulation
Publicado 2025“…However, unlike Az19, the trehalose-deficient strain Az19F could not improve the height, aerial fresh weight, or relative water content of maize plants under drought. …”

Genetic variation of growth traits and seed production in a Patagonian native pasture in semiarid rangelands under different environmental settings
Publicado 2025“…By early summer of the second year, most populations maintained a consistent relative performance with higher values for basal diameter, height and synflorescence production at site 2. This suggests more favorable environmental conditions for the species and highlights their potential for enhancing both seed and forage production. …”

Variations in the hierarchical architecture of nothofagus obliqua: evidence from juvenile naturallyregenerated trees and from seedlings obtained by controlled crosses of selected i...
Publicado 2025“…Results: In regeneration gaps, hierarchical architecture was positively related to height and diameter. Apex persistence, the number of sylleptic branches and mean internode length were indicative of larger and more hierarchical trees. …”

Evaluación de pastizales en bosques de Nothofagus antarctica – Método Ñirantal Sur = Grassland assessment in native Nothofagus antarctica (ñire) forest – Ñirantal Sur method
Publicado 2025“…This method is easy to use because only needs three field measurements for PANPP estimation (presented in a Table with triple entrance): crown cover (CC), site class expressed as the mean height of dominant trees (SC) and wood debris cover (D). …”

Experimental induction of hypothyroidism and goitre in goat kids: Clinical, pathological and histomorphometric findings
Publicado 2025“…A histopathological evaluation revealed marked follicular hyperplasia and hypertrophy, with significant alterations in follicular morphology, epithelial height, and interfollicular spacing. Hormonal profiles revealed dose-dependent disruptions in T3, T4, and T3/T4 ratios, with the most pronounced alterations observed in high-dose PTU-treated animals. …”

Soil organic carbon and total nitrogen in a Leucaena leucocephala silvopastoral system in the Chaco region, Argentina
Publicado 2025“…Despite the rise in TN in the surface soil, OC decreased in this layer, which is linked to the low grass cover, a result of high grazing pressure aimed at controlling leucaena hedgerow height. Under proper grazing management, leucaena has the potential to improve soil fertility and nitrogen availability for companion grasses, and may also serve as a greenhouse gas mitigation strategy.…”

Vegetative growth and thermal requirements of new papaya genotypes in the subtropical region of Argentina = Crescimento vegetativo e exigências térmicas de novos genótipos de ma...
Publicado 2025“…‘Rubí INCAPER 511’ displayed the highest basal stem diameter, number of leaves per plant, and plant height at transplantation. Meanwhile, ‘Maradol Roja’, ‘Sunrise Solo Bs’ and ‘Rubí INCAPER 511’ were the first genotypes to reach flowering (within 64 to 75 days after transplantation). …”

The contribution of fire damage to restricting high mountain Polylepis australis forests to ravines: Insights from an un-replicated comparison
Publicado 2018“…The proportion of the tree crown scorched by fire was 28 % higher on the ridge than in the ravine (94.3 ± 1.9 % and 66.1 ± 4.5 %, respectively) and was negatively related to tree height which was lower on the ridge. Survival was not differentially affected, but post-fire re-growth and establishment through seeds was lower in the ridge as compared to the ravine. …”

Density, habitat use, and opportunities for conservation of shorebirds in rice fields in southeastern South America
Publicado 2018“…Shorebird density was highest in lightly flooded paddies with rice height <20 cm. Our findings confirm the importance of rice paddies for shorebirds in southeastern South America and emphasize the need for detailed assessments to ensure that agricultural chemical and water management practices are biodiversity friendly.…”
