Específicamente en medio oriente, por religión (el Corán habla de su origen sagrado) y tradición alimenticia, el consumo de miel es altísimo, importándose a Dubai, centro de distribución para todo medio oriente, mieles de gran calidad y de muchos orígenes distintos.En Diciembre de 2012 realizamos un viaje de prospección de mercado con un prototipo de miel en panal en marco de madera nativa (lenga) a la ciudad de Dubai, donde se sostuvieron reuniones con nueve importadores de alimentos y productos gourmet, mostrándose todos muy interesados en el producto, ya que no existe nada parecido en su mercado, solicitando muestras e indicando de inmediato el interés por un primer embarque.El marco con miel en panal que hemos estado desarrollando, es un cuadrado de 7x7 cm con un ancho de 26 mm, de madera entramada, pegada con cera por las mismas abejas, el cual carga alrededor de 100 gr. de miel natural, lográndose un producto gourmet exclusivo, que encantó a los importadores visitados, pero 3 de los importadores sugirieron hacer un formato más pequeno y económico para acceder a otros mercados. …”
