A proposed role for endomembrane trafficking processes in regulating tonoplast content and vacuole dynamics under ammonium stress conditions in Arabidopsis root cells
Publicado 2021“…In a brief overview, the impaired macro-autophagic flux observed under NH4+ stress conditions has a detrimental impact on the cellular energetic balance, and therefore on the energy-demanding plant growth. In contrast to its inhibitory effect on the autophagosomes flux to vacuole, NH4+ toxicity induced a micro-autophagy-like process. …”

Fertilizer use soil health and agricultural sustainability
Publicado 2022“…Due to the growing population and consequent pressure of use, agricultural soils must maintain adequate levels of quantity and quality to produce food, fiber, and energy, without falling victim to a negative impact on their balance of nutrients, health, or their ability to function. …”

Monthly variations of forcing mechanisms of austral summer precipitation in subtropical Argentina
Publicado 2023“…The anomalies are mainly associated with a teleconnection via Rossby wave train that propagate through the South Pacific, which is link to El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomena in December, to enhanced convection in the western tropical Pacific in January, and to conversion of mean flow kinetic energy in January and February. Also, the anomalous low-level anticyclonic tropospheric circulation in southeastern Brazil (wet conditions in eastern STAr) is related to anomalous Walker cell caused mainly by an active convection core in the western Pacific basin probably owing to the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) phases 6 and 7. …”

Silvopastoral systems in the Delta Region of Argentina
Publicado 2017“…The acquired knowledge on SPS establishment aimed at producing quality wood of Populus sp. and Salix sp. for sawn wood, veneers, crushed wood, wood pulp and energy, and foliage as cattle feed. The use of bare (unrooted) pole cuttings of 1, 2, or 3 years of age as planting material, instead of cuttings, necessitates wide spacing in nursery planting (1 × 1 m and 1,2 × 1,2 m). …”

First assessment on the influence of wind farms and high-voltage networks on ruddy-headed goose Chloephaga rubidiceps migration in Patagonia, Argentina
Publicado 2024“…We suggest proactive measures that could mitigate future collisions with energy infrastructure because, given their threatened status, a few deaths may have a large effect on the small remnant population.…”

Morphological, anatomical, and physiological changes of orchardgrass leaves grown under fluctuating light regimes
Publicado 2025“…The physiological and anatomical adaptability of pastures growing under trees in silvopastoral systems can alter the efficiency of conversion of energy to dry matter (DM). This study was conducted to determine the effects of different fluctuating light regimes (from 24 to 100% transmissivity) on leaf physiology, morphology, anatomy, and structure of orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) in a silvopastoral experiment (New Zealand). …”

Mapping soil water properties using soil samples and satellite images in the irrigated area of Biota (Spain)
Publicado 2026“…TAW maps are needed to optimize water and energy for pumping. The objective was to elaborate and assess two types of maps: quantitative, using regressions of Sentinel-2 imagery with field data, and the classic qualitative approach, with soil units based on field data and terrain analysis. …”

Soil microbial communities respond to an environmental gradient of grazing intensity in south Patagonia Argentina
Publicado 2020“…The structure, diversity and activity of soil microbial communities are influenced by the quantity and quality of organic compounds entering soils through the contribution of their root exudates and plant litter, which the microorganisms use as a substrate for biosynthesis and energy source. However, grazing effect on the soil microorganisms showed variable results dependent on the ecosystem under study. …”

Effects of nutrition on digestion efficiency and gaseous emissions from slurry in growing-finishing pigs. I. Influence of the inclusion of two levels of orange pulp and carob meal...
Publicado 2017“…Source and level of the fibrous by-products affected digestion efficiency in a different way as the coefficients of total tract apparent digestibility (CTTAD) for dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), fibre fractions and gross energy increased with OP but decreased with CM (P<0.05). …”

Inoculation of bacterial consortium increases rice yield (Oryza sativa L.) reducing applications of nitrogen fertilizer in San Martin region, Peru
Publicado 2020“…Rice feeds more than 50% of the population worldwide, representing a great energy contribution in low-income families. The exaggerated use of synthetic chemical fertilizers to maintain high levels of yield causes alterations in the physical, chemical and biological quality of the soils. …”
