Previous inoculation increased shoot dry matter production by an average of 32% over the uninoculated controls in 94 of the 312 (30%) legume inoculations and farmers' field combinations while the indigenous rhizobia were more effective than the introduced ones in 103 combinations (33%) with an average of 20% increase compared to previous inoculation treatments. …”
