Striking variation in chromosome structure within Musa acuminata subspecies, diploid cultivars, and F1 diploid hybrids
Publicado 2024“…The balanced presence of both parental genomes was revealed in all F1 hybrids, with the exception of one clone, which contained only Mchare-specific SNPs and thus most probably originated from an unreduced diploid gamete of Mchare.…”

Biophysical limits to global food production
Publicado 1995“…In this research nine food-demand scenarios were analyzed, ranging from minimum population growth combined with a vegetarian diet to maximum population growth combined with an affluent diet containing an ample amount of animal products. With an environment-oriented agriculture, all regions can produce the food required even for an affluent diet, except for East, South, and Southeast Asia; the three regions with the least leeway will carry almost half of the global population. …”

Genetic basis and exploration of major expressed QTL qLA2-3 underlying leaf angle in maize
Publicado 2024“…On the basis of verifying the genetic effect of qLA2-3, a fine map was used to narrow the candidate interval, and finally, the target segment was located at a physical distance of approximately 338.46 kb (B73 RefGen_v4 version), containing 16 genes. Re-sequencing and transcriptome results revealed that five candidate genes may be involved in the regulation of LA. …”

Malting and brewing process optimization of elite lines of triticale for beer production
Publicado 2025“…Upon the malting process, line 7 was found to be the most effective in terms of malting performance; three beer formulations with different percentages of addition (i.e., 40, 70, and 100%) of malted selected triticale lines were produced in an experimental pilot plant and characterized for percentage of alcohol, foam stability, haze, and visual and taste profile. The beer containing 40% malted triticale was judged to be particularly interesting in terms of its stable foam, lighter color, greater attenuation, and lower turbidity than those produced from 70% or 100% malted triticale. …”
