Soils on exposed Sunda Shelf shaped biogeographic patterns in the equatorial forests of Southeast Asia
Publicado 2011“…We then identified the indicator genera for clusters that crossed the central Sundaland biogeographic boundary and those that did not cross and tested whether drought and coarse-soil tolerance of the indicator genera differed between them. We found 11 terminal floristic clusters, 10 occurring in Borneo, 5 in Sumatra, and 3 in Peninsular Malaysia. …”

A comparison of the enzymatic properties of the major cysteine proteinases from Trypanosoma congolense and Trypanosoma cruzi
Publicado 1997“…Irreversible diazomethane inhibitors, deduced from the unprime sequence of cystatin-derived substrates, inhibited the two parasite proteinases. N-terminal labelling of diazomethanes with a biotin group did not alter the rate of inhibitition significantly, which provides a useful tool for examining the distribution of these enzymes in the parasite and in the host. …”

Genetic diversity in South American Colletotrichum gloeosporioides isolates from Stylosanthes guianensis, a tropical forage legume
Publicado 1999“…The degree of genetic diversity of 127 Colletotrichum gloeosporioides isolates from Stylosanthes guianensis genotypes in South America was measured at the molecular level by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) with nine arbitrary primers of 10 bases, and by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) with a non-LTR (long terminal repeats) retrotransposon DNA sequence. The RAPD products revealed scorable polymorphism among the isolates, and a total of 80 band positions were scored. …”

Isolation and partial characterisation of galactosespecific lectins from African yam beans, Sphenostylis stenocarpa Harms
Publicado 1999“…Based on the analysis of carbohydrate content and native PAGE, it is likely that the Sphenostyles lectin is a tetrameric glycoprotein with Mr of approximately 122 kDa. N-terminal protein sequencing of purified lectins from four different Sphenostyles accessions shows that the four polypeptides have largely identical amino acid sequences. …”

Accumulation of transgene-derived siRNAs is not sufficient for RNAi-mediated protection against Citrus tristeza virus in transgenic Mexican lime
Publicado 2017“…P>Mexican lime plants transformed with the 3'-terminal 549 nucleotides of the Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) genome in sense, antisense and intron-hairpin formats were analysed for transgene-derived transcript and short interfering RNA (siRNA) accumulation, and for CTV resistance. …”

Insights Into the Etiology of Polerovirus-Induced Pepper Yellows Disease
Publicado 2018“…Sequence similarity and phylogenetic analysis highlighted the common ancestry of the three poleroviruses (PeVYV, PeYV, and Pepper yellow leaf curl virus [PYLCV]) currently reported to be associated with PYD, even though significant genetic differences were identified among them, especially in the C-terminal region of P5 and the 3 ' noncoding region. …”
