Survival strategy of Erwinia amylovora against copper: Induction of the viable-but-nonculturable state
Publicado 2017“…The nature of the VBNC state, however, is still the topic of an intense debate in the literature, and some authors argue that this condition may be a physiological state prior to cell death (7, 23). In spite of previous work concerning the toxic effect of copper ions for E. amylovora (15), many questions on the survival of this bacterium in the presence of this metal remain unanswered. …”

Pérdidas por volatilización y eficiencia de uso de nitrógeno en maíz en función de la fuente, dosis y momento de aplicación
Publicado 2025“…The objective of this work was to evaluate volatilization losses, grain yield, grain N content and N use efficiency (EUN) and its components: physiological efficiency (EF) and recovery efficiency (ER) in no-till corn from two N sources (Urea and UAN) applied at different moments (V3 and V6) and two N rates (60 and 120 kg N ha-1 ). …”

An ecophysiological model for interspecific competition, applied to the influence of chenopodium-album l on sugar-beet .2. Model evaluation
Publicado 1992“…Morphological characteristics such as the relative growth rate of leaf area in early growth phases, specific leaf area and height increase largely determined the competitive strength of a species. The effect of physiological characteristics, such as maximum rate of leaf photosynthesis, was less significant. …”

The effects of graded doses of heptachlor-A chlorinated hydrocarbon pesticide-on the reproductive performance of adult female (sprague dawley) rats.
Publicado 1998“…The negative effects of heptachlor seen in in-vivo studies were corroborated by the results of in-vitro experiments indicating that heptachlor at sub-lethal doses could still act at the cellular level to cause physiological changes. The results show that the effects of heptachlor on the reproductive parameters measured in this study were dose dependent, with more adverse effects being achieved due to the higher levels of the pesticide being administered. …”
