Biological parameters of Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) Biotype B (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) on Jatropha gossypiifolia, Commercial (Manihot esculenta) and wild cassava (Manihot flabellif...
Publicado 2010“…Recent studies indicate that it is possible, however, for biotype B to gradually adapt to cassava using phylogenetically related hosts. Therefore, the possibility that some wild species of cassava constitute intermediate hosts in the adaptation process may lead to the establishment of biotype B on commercial varieties of Manihot esculenta. …”

DNA markers for forage and livestock improvement
Publicado 1999“…Under the animal health topic are discussed tick-borne diseases, trypanosomiasis and genetics of trypanotolerance; and under the characterisation, bovine linkage maps and DNA marker characterization of bovine biodiversity are examined. A phylogenetic tree representing the genetic relationship between African cattle breeds is also presented.…”

Analysis of the pathogenic variability and genetic diversity of the plantparasitic nematode Radopholus similis on bananas
Publicado 2013“…Variation in virulence of R. similis populations was also demonstrated at the regional (Africa) level. Phylogenetic analysis most closely associated the Uganda populations with populations from Sri Lanka, indicating their likely source of origin. …”

Phylogeny and nitrogen fixation potential of Bradyrhizobium species isolated from the legume cover crop Pueraria phaseoloides (Roxb.) Benth. in Eastern Cameroon
Publicado 2016“…The 16S-23S rRNA internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences from 30 bacterial isolates were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the reaction products were sequenced. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that all isolates were ascribed to the genus Bradyrhizobium and were grouped into three clusters of Bradyrhizobium sp. strains, one cluster of B. yuanmingense strains, and one cluster of B. elkanii strains. …”

Historical biogeography of five characidium fish species: dispersal from the amazon paleobasin to Southeastern South America
Publicado 2016“…The biogeographic history of five species of the genus was analyzed through nuclear RAG-2 and mitochondrial 16S genes and a time-calibrated phylogenetic analysis using three outgroup species. A biogeographical reconstruction was performed to estimate ancestral geographic ranges and infer the historical events that impacted the geographic distributions of Characidium species. …”

Molecular characterization of the 3'-terminal region of Turnip mosaic virus isolates from astern China
Publicado 2007“…They all contain one partial open reading frame of 912 nt, encoding 304 amino acids, followed by a stop codon and a non-translated region of 209–210 nt. Results of phylogenetic analyses showed that Chinese TuMV isolates clustered into three groups: basal-BR, Asian-BR and world-B. …”

Genetic structure and diversity of Phakopsora pachyrhizi isolates from soyabean
Publicado 2011“…Low population differentiation was indicated by the low FST values among populations, suggesting a wide dispersal of identical genotypes on a regional scale. Phylogenetic analysis indicated a strictly clonal structure of the populations and five main groups were observed, with group II accounting for 30% of the entire population. …”

The GH3 family in plants: Genome wide analysis in rice and evolutionary history based on EST analysis
Publicado 2017“…The data indicated that the members of the GH3 family progressively increased in the different plant divisions from Chlorophyta (0), Bryophyta (3), and Coniferophyta (4), to Magnoliophyta (7-19). Phylogenetic analyses showed a high degree of conservation between Arabidopsis and rice GH3 proteins and, in general, in the plant kingdom. …”

Molecular population genetics of Cucumber mosaic virus in California: Evidence for founder effects and reassortment
Publicado 2017“…Extremely low diversity and close evolutionary relationships among isolates in a subpopulation suggested that founder effects might play a role in shaping the genetic structure. Phylogenetic analysis indicated a naturally occurring reassortant between subgroup IA and IB isolates and potential reassortants between subgroup IA isolates, suggesting that genetic exchange by reassortment contributed to the evolution of the California CMV population. …”

Molecular characterization of the faecal fungal flora in healthy horses
Publicado 2013“…The fungal internal transcribed regions (ITS) and the eukaryotic 18S rRNA genes, recovered from faecal samples of 16 Swedish Standardbred geldings, were used as phylogenetic marker genes in the analyses. Faecal samples were analyzed by TRFLP and two clone libraries were constructed, one library for the 18S gene and the other for the ITS gene from which later 44 random clones were sequenced. …”

Natural variation of OsLG3 controls drought stress tolerance in rice by inducing ros scavenging
Publicado 2017“…Transgenic rice with enhanced OsLG3 expression exhibited improved tolerance to drought and that is most likely due to enhanced ROS scavenging efficiency. Phylogenetic analysis and pedigree records indicated that the tolerant allele of OsLG3 has potential to improve drought tolerance of japonica rice.ConclusionsCollectively, our work revealed that the natural variation of OsLG3 contributes to rice drought tolerance and the elite allele of OsLG3 is a promising genetic resource for the development of drought-tolerant and high-yield rice varieties.…”
