Evolutionary analysis of tomato Sw-5 resistance-breaking isolates of Tomato spotted wilt virus
Publicado 2017“…Comparison of nucleotide and amino acid sequences suggested that tomato resistance conferred by the gene Sw-5 can be overcome by the amino acid substitution C to Y at position 118 (C118Y) or T120N in the TSWV movement protein, NSm. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that substitution C118Y has occurred independently three times in the studied isolates by convergent evolution, whereas the substitution T120N was a unique event. …”

Evolutionary origin and functional specialization of Dormancy‑Associated MADS box (DAM) proteins in perennial crops
Publicado 2022“…Results: SVP-like proteins from recently sequenced Rosaceae genomes were identifed and characterized using sequence, phylogenetic and synteny analysis tools. SVP-like proteins clustered in three clades (SVP1–3), with known DAM proteins located within SVP2 clade, which also included Arabidopsis AGAMOUS-LIKE 24 (AthAGL24). …”

Genomic characterization of Vibrio cholerae isolated from clinical and environmental sources during the 2022–2023 cholera outbreak in Kenya
Publicado 2025“…Whole genome sequencing was employed to characterize the genome, detect antimicrobial resistance genes, virulence factors, and mobile genetic elements. Phylogenetic analysis was performed to assess the genetic relationship and diversity of isolates from 2022 to 2023 outbreak, comparing them with isolates from historical outbreaks. …”

Establishment of Babesia vulpes n. sp. (Apicomplexa: Babesiidae), a piroplasmid species pathogenic for domestic dogs
Publicado 2019“…However, these parasite forms were overall smaller than those measured for the latter two species and no tetrad (Maltese cross) form was reported. Furthermore, phylogenetic analysis using the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (COX1) amino acid sequences substantiates the species identity of this parasite as previously demonstrated based on phylogenetic analysis of the 18S rRNA and β-tubulin genes. …”

Genetic diversity and demographic history of wild yak (Bos grunniens mutus) inferred from mtDNA D-loop sequences
Publicado 2010“…Forty-five variable sites and 15 haplotypes (including three haplotypes present firstly in this study) were identified, and the nucleotide and haplotype diversities were 0.024430 ± 0.012685 and 0.9619 ± 0.0260, respectively, indicating a rich genetic diversity in wild yak. The NJ phylogenetic tree revealed two distinct lineages and the selective neutrality and mismatch distribution tests all showed no population expansion event in the demographic history of the wild yak.…”
