    “…Como testigo se utilizaron tres muestras provenientes de agricultores de San Ignacio, Francisco Morazán sembradas en postrera de 1995: Dorado, Catrachita y MD 30-75 y dos muestras obtenidas en el mercado de la región sur-oriental de Honduras. Se encontró que variedades de rojo claro (Catrachita) absorben mayor cantidad de agua, tienen mayor peso del grano y necesitan de menor tiempo de cocción, mientras que las de color rojo oscuro (Dorado) absorben menos agua, tienen menor peso de grano y requieren mayor tiempo de cocción, sin encontrar diferencia entre las muestras de agricultor, del mercado o las producidas por el PIF.…”
