Present in the argentine corn belt region por Darino, Martín Alejandro, Rochi, Lucía, Lia, Veronica Viviana, Kreff, Enrique D., Pergolesi, María Fernanda, Ingala, Lorena Romina, Dieguez, Maria Jose, Sacco, Francisco

    Publicado 2017
“…In total, 58 single-uredinial isolates derived from infected maize leaves collected in different locations throughout the Argentine Corn Belt region during 2010 to 2012 were tested on a set of 25 maize lines carrying different Rp genes. …”

  2. Assessment of Multilocus Sequence Analysis (MLSA) for Identification of Candidatus Liberibacter Solanacearum from Different Host Plants in Spain por Ruiz-Padilla, Ana, Redondo, Cristina, Asensio, Adrián, Garita-Cambronero, Jerson, Martínez, M. Carmen, Pérez-Padilla, Verónica, Marquínez, Raquel, Collar, Jesús, García-Méndez, Eva, Alfaro-Fernández, Ana, Asensio-S.-Manzanera, Carmen, Palomo, José L., Siverio, Felipe, De-León, Leandro, Cubero, Jaime

    Publicado 2020
“…Most of the analysis performed with single housekeeping genes, as well as MLSA, grouped together isolates of CLso detected in potato crops in Spain within the haplotype E, undistinguishable from those infecting carrots, parsnips or celery. Moreover, the information from these housekeeping genes was used to estimate the evolutionary divergence among the different CLso by using the concatenated sequences of the genes assayed. …”

  3. Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica) is a New Natural Host of Apple Stem Pitting Virus por Morán, Félix, Canales, Celia, Olmos, Antonio, Ruiz-García, Ana B.

    Publicado 2020
“…High-throughput sequencing (HTS) analysis of an asymptomatic loquat plant using RNAseq Illumina technology has allowed the detection for the first time of apple stem pitting virus (ASPV), the type species of the genus Foveavirus in the family Betaflexiviridae, infecting this crop. A nearly complete genome of 9303 nts (ASPV-SL61) reconstructed bioinformatically shows the typical genomic structure of this viral species and a highest nucleotide identity (85.9%) with the Chinese ASPV isolate YLX from pear. …”

  4. Modeling Inoculum Availability of Plurivorosphaerella nawae in Persimmon Leaf Litter with Bayesian Beta Regression por Martínez-Minaya, Joaquín, Conesa, David, López-Quílez, Antonio, Mira, José L., Vicent, Antonio

    Publicado 2021
“…Under Mediterranean conditions, P. nawae forms pseudothecia in the leaf litter in winter, and ascospores are released in spring, infecting susceptible leaves. Persimmon growers are advised to apply fungicides for CLS control during the period of inoculum availability, which was previously defined based on ascospore counts under the microscope. …”

    Publicado 2024
“…Animal movement control especially at international borders needs to be strengthened to reduce the likelihood of importing or exporting PPR infected small ruminants. Findings of this study provide a basis for more robust timing and prioritization of control interventions such as vaccination to contribute to the global goal of control and eradication by 2030. …”

    Publicado 2018
“…Risk posed by Canna spp. on-farm could be limited to tool transmission as it has persistent floral bracts that prevent insect-mediated infections. Given the high susceptibility, perennial nature and propagation through rhizomes of Canna sp., it could pose a moderate-high risk, thus warranting some attention in the management of XW disease. …”

  10. Virus detection by high-throughput sequencing of small RNAs: large-scale performance testing of sequence analysis strategies por Massart, S., Chiumenti, M., Jonghe, K., Glover, R., Haegeman, A., Koloniuk, I., Kominek, P., Kreuze, Jan F., Kutnjak, D., Lotos, L., Maclot, F., Maliogka, V., Maree, Hans J.

    Publicado 2019
“…Therefore, we compared the ability of 21 plant virology laboratories, each employing a different bioinformatics pipeline, to detect 12 plant viruses through a double-blind large-scale performance test using 10 datasets of 21- to 24-nucleotide small RNA (sRNA) sequences from three different infected plants. The sensitivity of virus detection ranged between 35 and 100% among participants, with a marked negative effect when sequence depth decreased. …”
