Integration of a battery of biomarkers to evaluate the health status of field-collected frogs of Leptodactylus luctator living in ecosystems with different anthropogenic disturbanc...
Publicado 2024“…Amphibians are the most threatened group of vertebrates because they have certain biological and ecological characteristics that make them sensitive to environmental changes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the health status of field-collected adult frogs of Leptodactylus luctator (Amphibia, Anura) living in sites with different anthropogenic disturbances (florihorticulture, petrochemical industry and sewage discharges) and a reference site without any detectable influence of such activities. …”

Molecular characterization of equine rotavirus group A detected in Argentinean foals during 2009–2014
Publicado 2018“…The results of this study also show a cyclic pattern of the G3 and G14 prevalence in the horse population with a change in G3:G14 frequencies from year to year. Furthermore, clustering in the phylogenetic tree suggests evolutionary and geographic relationships between the Argentinean strains compared with the strain circulating worldwide.…”

Targeting Leishmania infantum Mannosyl-oligosaccharide glucosidase with natural products : potential pH-dependent inhibition explored through computer-aided drug design
Publicado 2024“…Using computer-aided drug design (CADD) approaches, the potential inhibitory effect of these NP candidates was evaluated by inhibiting the Mannosyl-oligosaccharide Glucosidase Protein (MOGS) from Leishmania infantum, an enzyme essential for the protein glycosylation process, at various pH to mimic the parasite’s changing environment. Also, computational analysis was used to evaluate the Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity (ADMET) profile, while molecular dynamic simulations were used to gather information on the interactions between these ligands and the protein target. …”

Yeast population dynamics during prefermentative cold soak of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec wines
Publicado 2018“…Prefermentative cold soak conducted at 14 ± 1 °C favoured development of Hanseniospora uvarum and Candida zemplinina, whereas cold soak conducted at 8 ± 1 °C favoured growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. At 2.5 ± 1 °C, no changes in yeast species were recorded. Acidity and bitterness, two sensory descriptors, appear to be related to wines produced with prefermentative cold soak carried out at 14 ± 1 °C. …”

Mapping Ecosystem Conservation Priority Based on Social Assessment, a Tool to Assist Land Use Planning
Publicado 2025“…The lack of planning regarding the spatial location and extent of different anthropogenic activities (such as agricultural production, biodiversity conservation, tourism, and urbanization) results in unsustainable land use and occupancy. Unplanned land use change threatens the supply of ecosystem services (ES) and thus, human well-being. …”

Dredging and sediment discharge in a river with floodplain. Physicochemical and microbiological effects in Paraná river
Publicado 2025“…Some physicochemical variables increased in the water column immediately after the water mass passed through the operating dredge, including sediment resuspension. The parameter changes were transient, as there were no significant increases in the variables downstream of the dredge during dredging and discharge operations or after dredging work. …”

TMV-Cg Coat Protein stabilizes DELLA proteins and in turn negatively modulates salicylic acid-mediated defense pathway during Arabidopsis thaliana viral infection
Publicado 2018“…Quantitative RT-qPCR analysis of DELLA target genes showed that CgCP alters relative expression of several target genes, indicating that the DELLA proteins mediate transcriptional changes produced by CgCP expression. Analyses by fluorescence confocal microscopy showed that CgCP stabilizes DELLA proteins accumulation in the presence of gibberellic acid (GA) and that the DELLA proteins are also stabilized during TMV-Cg virus infections. …”
