  1. Analysis of water use on a large river basin using MIKE BASIN Model: a case study of the Abbay River Basin, Ethiopia por Wubet, F. D., Awulachew, Seleshi Bekele, Moges, A.

    Publicado 2009
“…From the analysis, the total water extracted for these irrigation projects was estimated to be 1.624 billion cubic meters (BCM) annually. A reduction in the border flow volume as a result of the implementation of these irrigation projects under the reservoir scenario is 3.04% of the estimated mean annual flow of 50.45 BCM. …”

  2. Changes in soil organic matter and phosphorus fractions under planted fallows and a crop rotation system on a Colombian volcanic-ash soil por Phiri, S, Barrios, E., Rao, Idupulapati M., Singh, B.R.

    Publicado 2001
“…We investigated the effects of planted fallows of Indigofera (IND), Calliandra (CAL), and Tithonia (TTH); a natural, unmanaged fallow (NAT); and a maize/bean rotation (ROT) on the dynamics and partitioning of soil organic matter (SOM) and phosphorus (P). …”

  3. Nitrous oxide and methane emissions from a subtropical rice–rapeseed rotation system in China: A 3-year field case study por Minghua Zhou, Bo Zhu, Bruggemann, N., Xiaoguo Wang, Xunhua Zheng, Butterbach-Bahl, Klaus

    Publicado 2015
“…Fertilizer nitrogen (N) application has been shown to impact both methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from rice-based crop systems, yet the responses of CH4 and N2O fluxes to N fertilizer applications in subtropical rice–rapeseed rotation systems are not well documented. A three-year field experiment was conducted to simultaneously measure the fluxes of CH4 and N2O from a subtropical rice–rapeseed rotation system under three N fertilization treatments (control with no N fertilizer addition [CK], optimized N fertilizer management practice in accordance with the recommended N fertilizer application rate of 150 kg N ha−1 season−1 [OP], local farmers common N fertilizer management practice with 250 kg N ha−1 season−1 [CP]) in southwestern China. …”

  6. Integrating Global Satellite-Derived Data Products as a Pre-Analysis for Hydrological Modelling Studies: A Case Study for the Red River Basin por Simons, Gijs, Bastiaanssen, Wim G.M.

    Publicado 2016
“…We demonstrate how global remotely sensed P and ETact datasets can be merged to examine hydrological processes such as storage changes and streamflow prior to applying a numerical simulation model. The study area is the Red River Basin in China in Vietnam, a generally challenging basin for remotely sensed information due to frequent cloud cover. …”

  8. Recommended Sweetpotato Farming Practices in Southeast Asia: A way to promote sustainable rural development and food security under a changing climate. por International Potato Center

    Publicado 2017
“…This training manual describes CSA practices for sweetpotato, which aim to transform sweetpotato cultivation practice to sustainably support development and food security under a changing climate. This is a valuable resource for those involved in training extension workers, village leaders, and staff of IFAD investment projects FoodSTART+ collaborates with, among others; who will, in turn, train farmers and help them build their problem solving and decision-making skills so they can continue to learn, question, test and address different opportunities and challenges relevant to their livelihoods.…”
