The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), with the financial support of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, implements 19 projects in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru in the frame of the Energy and Environment Partnership Programme with the Andean Region (EEP). The projects proved that it is indeed possible to apply technologies based on renewable energy sources to help rural populations gain energy autonomy. A number of these projects aim to improve production processes. La energía está en todas partes, pero la más valiosa se encuentra en la naturaleza y en la creatividad de las personas para utilizarla en su beneficio. El Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA), con el apoyo financiero del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Finlandia, ejecuta 19 proyectos en Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador y Perú en el marco del Programa de Alianza en Energía y Medio Ambiente con la Región Andina (EEP). Los proyectos han demostrado que sí es posible aplicar tecnologías basadas en fuentes de energía renovables para ayudar a las poblaciones rurales a ganar autonomía energética.
